“Hello, can I help you?” Alexandria asked.
The woman shoved Alexandria to the side and stormed inside the house. “No, you can’t, you tramp! Where is Cash?” she yelled.
Alexandria slammed the door. “First of all, who the hell do you think you are coming in here like that? I don’t know you, but I assume you must be Leona!” Alexandria had heard way more than she needed to about his older sibling.
Leona rolled her eyes and smirked. “You assume correct. Now where the hell is he?” She walked down the hall like a police officer searching for fugitives. Alexandria couldn’t believe people like Leona existed. She acted more like a character from a movie than a family member.
“You don’t need to worry about where he is, and you can kiss my…”
“Hey, what’s going on in here?” Cash shouted.
Alexandria could feel her blood boiling and the steam rushing out of her ears.
“Why don’t you ask her?” Alexandria pointed at Leona. “The moment I let her in the house she started yelling at me and called me a tramp!” She paced back and forth, trying to calm down.
Cash couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“Leona, what are you doing here? This is Alexandria, my girlfriend.”
Cash scratched his head and crossed his arms. He sighed and glared at Leona with big eyes.
“I came over here to check on you and instead I found this slut here! I guess you have everything you want now that our poor father is dead. How dare you bring her to Stillwater so soon after his death!” she screamed.
Alexandria marched over to her and stared into her eyes. “You don’t know me, but the next time you call me a slut, you will be picking your face off the floor!” She gritted her teeth, ready to demolish Leona.
Cash rushed in between them.
“Okay, everyone just calm down. Leona, I don’t mind you checking up on me, but you must call first. Also, I will not have you calling Alexandria anything other than her name. She’s in my life, and she’s not going anywhere. You got it?”
Leona walked toward the door and turned around sharply. “Yeah, I got it all right! She’s the reason our father is dead, and you having her here like this is wrong! Is she the reason you moved out so fast too? Where are your morals? Dad would never approve of this!”
Cash walked over to his sister and hissed. “Dad wouldn’t approve of anything where I was concerned, and you don’t have the right to judge me.” He took her hand. “Listen, I don’t want to fight with you, but you can’t just come here and insult the woman I love and expect me to be okay with it. Sis, I love you, but I’m not a child anymore. Please respect my decisions and my privacy.”
